Welcome to the Lexington Ski and Sports Club website. Join a group of individuals who love skiing and snowboarding. Our group provides a great way to socialize with others who share the same passion for winter sports. We welcome all people to come and join us for a meeting to experience the fun discussing the trips offered to resorts in the US and overseas, as well as activities offered right here in Lexington.

Join us at Roosters for our April club meeting. We will present the slate of candidates to serve on the LSSC Board for 2019/20. Membership is not required to attend. If you know of others who like to ski/snowboard or are interested in learning, bring them along. The more the merrier.

Join us for an evening of hatchet and axe throwing at Lexington's "Battle Axes" in the Distillery District. Battle Axes offers casual throwing, league play, corporate events, and private parties. Almost 60 canned beers and ciders (half of which are Kentucky Proud), soda, bottled water, and snack foods are available for purchase. Join fellow skiers and boarders in saying farewell to a great 2018- 2019 ski season!! Ski club members Buck & Susan Buckley have graciously offered to host the party at their beautiful & historic Spring Lea Farm in Lexington.
Picnic is open to everyone with an interest in skiing and boarding, including significant others. Membership is not required. The ski club will provide main dishes but plan to bring a side dish to share (RSVP & sign-up with Tara Keegan – see below).

Lexington Ski and Sports Club (LSSC) has offered to operate a rest stop during the Horsey Hundred cycling event hosted by the Bluegrass Cycling Club (BCC). Several members of LSSC are also cyclists and belong to the BCC.
When: Saturday, May 25, 2019, 3 shifts available 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM or 2:00 to 6:00 PM.
Where: Lemons Mill Rest Stop, Elam Farm Scott County
What: The Horsey Hundred is a 3-day cycling event that the BCC has offered for over 30 years. Over 2000 cyclists from 45 states and 10 foreign countries participate. Saturday is the big day when riders can attempt a Century, 100 miles in one day. We will operate a rest area. All the food and supplies will be delivered to the site. Our job will be to keep the snacks and Gatorade flowing as riders pass through. Howard Glauert is the rest stop captain. We need 10 more volunteers to operate the rest stop.
LSSC Benefits: We will have our Club banners up and pass out Club literature. We hope to interest a group of outdoor athletes in joining LSSC for Winter sports.
Your Benefits: This will be a fun summer activity with your LSSC friends. We will meet groups of cyclists working hard to achieve their goals. The BCC provides to all volunteers a BCC Horsey Hundred t-shirt, admission to all Horsey events during the 3 days including lunch at Georgetown College on Saturday. You can ride your bike at Friday and Sunday supported rides which are suitable for most fitness levels. If you sign up before April 13 you will also receive your choice of a BCC cooling towel or insulated 24oz water bottle.
